Sarasota Memorial's Health Care Center at Blackburn Point provides an array of convenient medical services to southern Sarasota, Osprey, Nokomis, Venice, Englewood and surrounding communities.
Like all of our specialty campuses, Blackburn Point sets the standard for quality healthcare, bringing first-class outpatient services to the places where our patients live, while keeping them closely linked with Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Imaging services at Blackburn Point are conveniently located on the first floor. Patients must have a valid order for imaging from a physician. To verify insurance coverage for the service, please call your insurance provider. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Health Care Center at Blackburn Point offers physical therapy to treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, and general medical injuries and conditions. A special division of SMH's outpatient rehabilitation is devoted to the treatment and management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders at this location. The comprehensive rehabilitation program includes Lee Silverman Big Treatment (LSVT) therapy, nationally recognized for its benefits in the improvement of mobility functions in patients with Parkinson’s. The facility's specially trained SMH therapists are dedicated to helping patients transition back to their normal lives through programs that are designed for their individual rehabilitative needs. A physician’s order is required for rehabilitation services.
Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation is offered at Blackburn Point and designed to improve the health and quality of life of people living with chronic heart, lung and vascular disease. Whether you you've had a heart attack, other cardiac event and/or another form of pulmomary disease, our team of cardiovascular and pulmonary specialists will review your personal and medical history to customize a program to meet your individual needs and personal health goals. Diabetes patients will find support, motivation, education and the tools they need to make lifestyle changes to maintain optimum blood sugar control and prevent complications. Sarasota Memorial's outpatient diabetes education program is one of only 600 programs in the United States to receive recognition from the American Diabetes Association. South county residents will find convenient access to SMH's Certified Diabetes Educators for diabetes management, education and support at the Blackburn Point Health Care Center.
