SARASOTA, Fla. (July 23, 2024) – Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMH) has once again been named as one of America’s Best Employers for Women, ranking #7 in the nation.

Forbes, in collaboration with Statista, identified the 600 Best Employers for Women through an extensive independent survey of more than 150,000 women working for companies with at least 1,000 employees across a range of industries in the U.S.

The surveyed employees, representing more than 20 industries, were asked to share opinions about their respective employer’s culture, image, opportunities for career development, working conditions, salary and wages and diversity.

Overall, SMH ranked #7 amongst the 600 companies recognized, and #3 in the “Healthcare & Social Services” sector nationally. This recognition adds to SMH’s growing list of accolades, including several “Best Hospital” rankings and recent ratings from U.S. News & World Report released just last week.David Verinder, CEO of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System
