Spine Surgery Pre-Op Classes

We encourage all spine surgery patients to attend a Spine Surgery Pre-operative Education Class. The interactive class teaches participants what to expect before, during and after spine surgery for the neck (cervical) and back (thoracic/lumbar). With this knowledge, you are better able to participate in your care plan. The class is lead by a Spine Pre-Op Education Specialist.

The preoperative class will help participants:

  • Prepare for surgery.
  • Know what to expect during the hospital stay.
  • Understand pain management options after surgery.
  • Rehab therapy.
  • Set post-surgery goals.
  • Understand their discharge plan.
