Sarasota Memorial Health Care System was recently recognized as an Anticoagulation Center of Excellence (ACE) by the Anticoagulation Forum, the first recognized ACE in the Sarasota/Bradenton region. The three-year designation is awarded to facilities that demonstrate the highest standards in patient care and meet rigorous criteria related to anticoagulation services, including the management of blood thinner medications, transition and coordination of care, and patient and family education.
The Anticoagulation Forum is a non-profit founded more than 30 years ago to promote evidence-based practices and improve outcomes for patients at risk of dangerous blood clots through clinical management.
