Dr. Kathryn Gard has returned to SMH’s First Physicians Group (FPG) Obstetrics and Gynecology practice, joining Drs. Ruth Dyal, Kelly Hamel, Neil Pollack, Kristen Shepherd, Michael Shroder, and Greg Towsley in the practice where she completed her OB-GYN rotation during medical school five years earlier.

Cancer Specialist Dr. James Fiorica Named New Chief Medical Officer

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System has named local cancer specialist James Fiorica, MD, to serve as the organization’s top physician administrator. In addition to his women’s cancer practice, Dr. Fiorica has served as associate chief medical officer.
