CMS updated its overall hospital quality star ratings today. In this year’s update, we are happy to report that Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is again recognized for delivering the highest quality 5-star care. SMH is the only hospital in the Tampa Bay region awarded 5 stars this year, and the only hospital in Florida that has received continuous 5-star ratings since CMS began issuing the overall hospital quality star ratings in 2016.
