One of those technologies is the Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci-S Surgical System – the world’s most advanced robotic surgical platform. The da Vinci surgical robot allows Sarasota surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures through a series of small incisions – just one- to two-centimeters. Through gifts made possible by the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, is proud to have two state-of-the-art da Vinci-S robotic surgery suites.

Our two da Vinci surgical suites equip surgeons with revolutionary tools that provide superior visualization, enhanced dexterity, and greater precision for optimal performance of minimally invasive procedures. The system’s 3D cameras provide magnification 10 times that of the naked eye, while the instruments offer articulation and range of motion not possible with the human wrist.
Sarasota Memorial’s robotic surgeons have been specially trained to use
the system for minimally invasive cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, renal surgery, urologic and gynecologic cancers, and general gynecological surgery procedures. |
