Muscular Dystrophy/ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease Clinic
Comprehensive outpatient clinic providing multidisciplinary consultation, counseling, rehabilitation, treatment and case management/referral services for people affected by neuromuscular disorders, such as ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease),Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Inclusion Body Myositis, Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, Hereditary Neuropathy, Friedreich’s Ataxia, Myasthenia Gravis, Spinal/Bulbar Muscular Atrophy (Kennedy’s Disease), Charcot-Marie Tooth Disease, Dermatomyositis and Polymyositis. Brain Tumor Support Group
The support group is specially designed to help survivors affected with all types of brain tumors and to educate our community on living with any type of brain tumor diagnosis. This program provides direction, motivation and support for survivors living with brain tumors and for their families who love and care for them. The group offers a positive & rewarding program that supports empowerment & quality of life for all survivors. The group includes open forum discussions led by Wanda Jackson, Sarasota Memorial’s neuroscience nurse educator as well as breakout sessions with survivors and their loved ones.
