Sarasota Memorial Hospital Opens 2nd Walk-In Medical Center - January 15!
Join
us for a grand opening celebration at the new walk-in medical center on
Saturday, Jan. 13 from 10 am-noon, featuring a teddy bear clinic
(children can bring their favorite doll or stuffed toy for a check-up),
clowns, entertainment, refreshments, body type analyses, a drawing for a
free i-Pod and other give-aways! Staffed by Sarasota
Memorial's board-certified emergency, internal medicine and family
physicians, the Walk-In Medical Centers at University Parkway and Tamiami
Trail near Gulf Gate provide comprehensive walk-in
services to meet the community's urgent and routine health needs. Both are
open 8am to 8pm, Monday-Saturday. The centers accept most insurance plans
and no appointments are necessary. 6130 S. Tamiami Trail, just north of
Stickney Point Road (SR72).

Sarasota
Memorial Health Care System is pleased to welcome back Myrdalis
Diaz-Ramirez, MD, board-certified, fellowship-trained pain management
physician, to the staff of Sarasota Memorial Physicians Group. Dr.
Diaz-Ramirez leads a multi-disciplinary team of pain management specialists
at Sarasota Memorial’s new Comprehensive Pain Center. The first of its kind
in southwest Florida, the Comprehensive Pain Center at Sarasota Memorial’s
Care Center at Blackburn Point offers the widest range of coordinated pain
care services in the region, from conservative medical modalities and
medications to advanced interventional approaches and invasive treatments.

Can't stop eating once you've started? Don't eat the food you love because
you're scared of gaining weight? Tired of the diet-binge cycle? Want to
get to a healthy weight and stay there? This 6-week workshop will teach
you how to stop dieting and bingeing and become a "normal" eater. Overeaters
